The Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing Monday, February 24, 2014, at 7:00 PM at the Buxton Municipal Building on a request for a Conditional Use Permit to operate a daycare facility at 993 Long Plains Road, Tax Map 6, Lot 69A
Town Office will be closed Monday, February 17, 2014 for Presidents’ Day and the Transfer Station will be closed Tuesday. There will be no change in the curbside pickup schedule.
Buxton Recreation will be hosting a Community Pot Luck Lunch on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at 11:30 AM in the large meeting room at Buxton Town Hall. All ages are welcome. Bring something to share.
The Board of Selectmen is soliciting bids for a two-season contract with possible extension for lawn mowing and trimming services at Town Farm Park. Copies of the Contract and Bid Sheet are available for pick up at Buxton Town Office or Email your request to deputybuxton@sacoriver.net. Bids must be sent to the Board of Selectmen, 185 Portland Road., Buxton, ME 04093 in sealed envelopes clearly marked “Lawn Mowing Bid – Town Farm Park” and must be received no later than 4:00 PM,
Wednesday, February 19, 2014. The Board of Selectmen reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
The Board is soliciting bids for a three-year contract for Winter Road Sand. Copies of the contract and bid sheet can be picked up at the Buxton Town Office or email a request to selectsecbuxton@sacoriver.net. Bids must be submitted to the Board of Selectmen, Town of Buxton, 185 Portland Road, Buxton, ME 04093, in sealed envelopes clearly marked “BID - Winter Road Sand,” and must be received no later than 4:00 PM on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. Bids will be opened at the Selectmen’s Meeting at 7:00 PM. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
